Adjustment
The dial is on the outside.
Turn the numbered dial at the top of the body to set the grind: toward FINE for espresso or moka pot, toward COARSE for pour over, French press and cold brew. There is no need to take the grinder apart to change it.
Every bean and brewer is different, so adjust a click or two at a time until the cup tastes right to you.
The burr
Ceramic, conical, no motor.
Inside is a ceramic conical burr. Ceramic does not rust, and because there is no motor there is no motor heat and no noise beyond a gentle crank.
Grind right before you brew and the aroma ends up in your cup instead of fading in an open bag of pre-ground coffee.
Take it anywhere
Handle off, lid on, into the bag.
At 325 g and 17 x 5.8 x 18.9 cm, it fits in a kitchen drawer or a travel bag. The crank lifts off, and the bean hopper has its own dust-proof lid, so it suits camping trips, the office, the cottage and hotel rooms.
How to use
Four steps.
- Set the dial. Toward FINE for espresso and moka pot, toward COARSE for pour over, French press and cold brew.
- Add beans. Lift off the crank, add 20 to 30 g of whole beans, and put the crank back on.
- Grind. Hold the grinder upright and turn the crank clockwise.
- Brew. Unscrew the glass jar and tip the grounds into your brewer.
Care
After each use.
- Brush the burr and the jar with the included cleaning brush.
- Hand wash the glass jar.
- Grind coffee beans only. Keep stones and hard foreign objects out of the hopper.
