Adjustment
The dial is on the outside.
On most hand grinders you set the coarseness by pulling the burr assembly out and turning a nut underneath, which means unloading the beans, losing your place, and doing it again next time.
Ermona puts a numbered click ring on the outside of the body. Espresso through to cold brew, set by feel, without opening anything.
The burr
Conical, stainless, and even.
A double-pointed stainless conical burr does the cutting, held on both ends so it cannot wander mid-turn. That is what keeps the particle size consistent, and consistency is most of what separates a good cup from a muddy one.
The handle is long enough for leverage and detaches for packing.
Every brew method
Espresso to cold brew.
The click range covers espresso, moka, pour-over, French press and cold brew. Grind into the glass jar, tip it into whatever you brought, and rinse the jar under a tap.
There is a dust cover on the bean chamber so nothing escapes into the bag on the way there.
